Who we train.
Our Make-Up Update Training Programmes are not suited to every make-up artist.
The majority of make-up artists who train with us are already highly successful, established freelances who
need to update and upgrade their skills quickly and to the highest industry standards.
In short – we help working professional make-up artists become even more successful.
These freelances generally do not have the time or desire to "go back to school" or work in a
classroom environment with others.
This is why the majority of our Make-Up Update Training Programmes are taught privately within a film or
television studio make-up room on an individual one-to-one basis.
Such private, one-to-one programmes allow us to work exclusively with each make-up artist to ensure the
training can be specifically directed to address their individual needs.
Many major broadcasters such as the BBC, BSkyB and ITV London also choose to utilise our unique group and
individual training programmes to keep their make-up staff and freelances fully updated in the latest make-up
techniques.
We are delighted that our broadcaster clients and many of the freelances we train return for skills updates
with us time after time.

One-to-One tuition in air-applied make-up artistry

ADVANCED FACIAL LIFECASTING MASTERCLASS
One-to-one training in facial lifecasting techniques
Learn to create facial lifecasts safely, accurately and with confidence using both lifecast grade alginate and
lifecast grade silicone elastomer.
You’ll begin this intensive programme by becoming acquainted with the materials required to take a facial
lifecast with clear explanations of how to prepare and work with each product.
You’ll study both classic and modern facial lifecasting techniques building confidence and skill in creating
the facial impression and subsequently producing a high accuracy plaster cast from the negative mould.
The ability to work safely and accurately when taking a lifecast is covered in detail, with particular regard
to the model’s safety and comfort throughout the process.
Health & safety and safer working practices are also covered in detail during both the demonstration and
practical sessions. Bald cap application, working with differing hair lengths and textures is also discussed
and demonstrated.
With practical lifecasting experience, the lifecast artist can quickly and safely create an impression of their
model’s features with ‘pore accurate’ detail.

As mentioned earlier, our Make-Up Update Programmes are primarily aimed at established freelances seeking to
upgrade their existing make-up skills.
We are also always delighted to train dynamic newly graduated make-up artists to assist them in acquiring
additional skills that will rapidly advance their career.
But please note that we do not directly provide basic entry-level training in make-up artistry.
We do provide group training to a small number of elite make-up schools either as "one-off"
demonstrations or as a regular component of their long-term course syllabus.
