when working with silicone prosthetic effects.
Ultra-real silicone appliances have totally revolutionised prosthetic make-up artistry and in an
exciting new day-long demonstration programme, you can join both John Woodbridge and prosthetic makeup
artist Nick Davis at Pinewood Studios for an in depth look at the remarkable new advances in prosthetic
silicone appliance manufacture and prosthetic application.
The programme is a unique "script to screen" breakdown clearly showing you how to both manufacture and apply
silicone prosthetics - using cutting edge products and techniques that have not only simplified that art of
creating silicone effects but also radically reduced material costs - allowing you to quickly and easily
create prosthetics that could rival any top make-up effects workshop.
In the past, making silicone prosthetics could be extremely time consuming, difficult and costly - but the
latest advances in silicone technology means that you can now produce superb prosthetics every time without
complex processing and at very low cost.
Even more exciting is that you no longer need to have a make-up lab to produce silicone prosthetics. You can
cast film quality silicone appliances in the make-up room, location trailer - even in your own kitchen!
The Morning FX Session hosted by John Woodbridge in association with
Bentley Creative Chemicals Ltd. will give
you the information you need to create sculptures and moulds for prosthetic silicone casting and then move on to
show you how to realistically cast and colour prosthetic silicones to produce ultra-real appliances.
The Afternoon FX Session, in association with
Screenface Ltd John Woodbridge will be joined by prosthetic makeup artist Nick Davis who will unlock the
mysteries of silicone prosthetic application. This session will lead you, step by step, through the
application, colouring and removal of a superb silicone prosthetic make-up and includes information on
health and safety, suitable adhesives, application and removal techniques as well as post prosthetic skin
care.
With the skills you'll see demonstrated on this Masterclass programme at Pinewood Studios you'll have the
knowledge to work with silicone appliances when you return to your own make-up artistry.
