FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
To help you decide whether this training is right for you, here are the answers
to some frequently asked questions about our Masterclass programmes.
Where do you hold your training programmes?
Our training is normally held at Pinewood Film Studios in Buckinghamshire
in the United Kingdom.
The studios are just to the west of London, a short distance from Heathrow
Airport and are easily accessible by road and rail.
A studio location map can be found here.
Can you help me find hotel accommodation near Pinewood Studios?
Yes. We are happy to provide hotel / bed & breakfast accommodation details
once your training application has been confirmed.
If I am accepted onto your training programme, how and when do I have
to pay for my training?
To confirm your booking, we will require full payment of your training fee not later
than 30 days prior to your chosen training dates.
We accept payment by cheque and bank transfer or you may pay by credit or
debit card via our secure online server.
When your application has been accepted, we will contact you to discuss your
preferred confirmation payment method.
Immediately we receive your booking payment, we will confirm your course
dates with you and forward full training information along with a receipted VAT
invoice covering your payment.
I’m only available on very specific dates. Can I reserve these dates with
you?
Possibly. This will depend entirely on John Woodbridge’s availability.
If you can only attend our training on very specific dates, please let us know
these dates by submitting your online training application as soon as possible.
We regret that we are unable to accept bookings for training dates under 30
days from the day we receive your online application.
Can I pay a deposit to reserve specific dates for your training programme?
No.
We are happy to provisionally hold specific training dates for you (subject to
John Woodbridge’s availability) and to confirm these dates, we would ask that you
make full payment of the course fee not later than 30 days prior to the start of your
training.
How many other people will be attending my training class?
The mentoring John Woodbridge provides on his professional-level airbrush
training programmes is one-to-one.
Therefore, YOU will be the ONLY delegate on the training programme.
This will allow you to work exclusively with John to ensure your skills reach
the highest possible standard.
What time does the training programme start and finish each day?
Our preferred timings are 9am to 6:30pm on each day of the training.
However, as you are the only delegate attending this one-to-one programme, we
are happy to work around your own schedule if more convenient to you.
We also never “watch the clock”.
If you need more time to master particular techniques, we’ll work longer with you
each day (staying later or coming in earlier!) to guarantee you master every
airbrush makeup technique.
The sole purpose of this training is to give you the skills and confidence to work
to a high professional standard with air-applied cosmetics - and we’ll take extra
time with you, if you need it, to ensure you master these techniques.
Can I attend the training with a colleague or group of colleagues?
We can provide training programmes for groups of up to four professional
makeup artists at any one time if you wish to train with a colleague.
Please note each training delegate must meet our minimum training application
criteria and each must complete a separate online training application.
A discount of 10% per booking is available for bookings of two or more delegates
attending on the same training date.
Is your 100% Money-Back Satisfaction Guarantee for real?
Yes, absolutely!
There are lots of other airbrush makeup courses advertised on the internet and
sometimes the choice can be very confusing.
We don’t think it’s fair that you should take any risk when booking your airbrush
makeup training - but it’s often impossible to know if the advertised training is any
good until you actually attend the course.
If the training we provide is not what you expected or if you simply feel that you
don't wish to continue with the programme, just let us know by lunch time on the
first day of your tuition with us.
You'll receive a prompt and courteous refund of the entire training fee you paid.
That's 100% of your Masterclass fee refunded in full.
No questions asked. No hard feelings.
We would much rather refund your entire training fee than leave you feeling that
you had wasted your money if you felt our training was not suited to you.
Whilst we don’t believe you’ll find a 100% Money Back Guarantee available from
any other airbrush makeup training provider, it’s our promise to you... and the
only way we think training should be.
I’m a really good makeup artist but I don’t have 5 years professional
experience. Will you accept me on to your training programme?
It’s great that you already want to benefit from this professional-level training
programme.
By working hard for just a few more years to gain the necessary experience
we promise that you will achieve far more on this Masterclass when you do
qualify to attend.
Whilst we regret that we can’t accept applications from makeup artists with
less than 5 years experience, in the meantime you may wish to learn the art
of airbrush makeup by purchasing John Woodbridge’s Flawless Airbrush
Beauty DVD and Book, available from Amazon
here
.
English is not my first language. Can I bring a translator with me to the
training?
Yes, of course.
You are most welcome to bring a translator to the training at no extra cost.
We are also happy to provide support material to your translator in advance of
your training so that they may familiarise themselves with the terminology used
on the programme.
I am from outside the European Community. Can you help me get a UK
Visa to attend your training?
No.
We regret that we are unable to offer any assistance to non-EU residents to
obtain UK Visas or travel permits to enter the UK.
Who will be training me on the Masterclass?
Your trainer and mentor will be John Woodbridge, the UKs leading airbrush
makeup expert and the HD makeup trainer for major broadcasters such as
the BBC and Sky.
We do not use any other trainer on our Masterclass programmes -
ensuring that each delegate works personally with John.
Where can I find out more about John Woodbridge and his makeup
artistry?
You can discover more about John and his work by clicking here
Do I need to provide a makeup model for the training?
No.
Makeup models will provided for you on each day of your airbrush makeup
training.
Will I have to be a makeup model for other delegates on the programme?
No.
Unlike many other training programmes, you will not be expected to waste time
modelling for other delegates.
In fact, YOU will be the ONLY delegate on the training and makeup models will
be provided for your use on each day of the training programme.
How can I help to make sure that my training application is successful?
We want you you to be successful in your training application and, whilst we
cannot provide the reasons for declining your specific application, to minimise
the risk of your application being rejected, please make sure that you have
included as much information about you, your makeup career and experience
as possible in your application.
Can I reapply if you decline my initial training application?
Absolutely!
If we do decline your training application, you are more than welcome to
reapply at a later date.
Failure to demonstrate that you meet our minimum application criteria is the
biggest reason why we decline training applications.
Therefore, please make sure you provide as much information as possible in
your online application.
Will taking this Masterclass get me more work as a makeup artist?
We don’t believe that any makeup training programme should ever make such
a guarantee.
However, the delegates trained on our Masterclasses are, in general, already
very successful, experienced and “in demand” makeup artists who are in a
position to immediately use the professional-level airbrush skills they master
in their makeup work and therefore enhance their own career.
Do you cover other beauty related airbrush topics such as self tan, nail
art, face painting or body art on the training?
No.
Many other airbrush makeup training courses also cover nail art, face
painting, body art and self-tan application.
Our own professional-level training programmes specialise in both basic and
advanced corrective/beauty makeup techniques.
Elements of our 5 Day Advanced Professional Masterclass focus on body
makeup including tattoo cover, body contouring, body glossers, tan line
elimination etc. and also look at basic and advanced effects work to create
bruising, veining and alien skins.
These advanced air-applied cosmetic techniques are generally sufficient for the
professional makeup artists we train on our Advanced Professional Masterclass,
as most have no need to employ body art, nail art, face painting or self tanning
in their makeup artistry.
Do you sell airbrush equipment or cosmetics on your training programme?
No.
Our training does not feature any form of selling.
Whilst we do not sell either airbrush equipment or cosmetics, we do work
closely with all the major airbrush makeup companies to ensure that our training
delegates receive exclusive discounts on products they may care purchase after
their training.
Please rest assured that we don’t receive any kind of commission from these
sales.
It may be old fashioned but we prefer to recommend products because we like
them and use them rather than because they pay us the biggest commissions.
Is your training sponsored by any of the airbrush makeup companies?
No.
Our training is entirely impartial and is not sponsored by any other company.
This allows us to use many different cosmetic brands and equipment on our
professional-level training programmes.
You’ll have an opportunity to use a wide variety of air-applied cosmetics,
airbrushes and compressors from different suppliers - to ensure that when you
invest in your own airbrush equipment you won’t risk wasting your money on a
kit that isn't right for you.
What support material will I receive on the training programme?
After confirming your Masterclass training with us, you’ll receive exclusive
pre-training information from us to help you prepare for your airbrush makeup
training.
We will also arrange for John Woodbridge to telephone you prior to your
training - to answer any questions you may have and also to get to know each
other prior to the Masterclass!
At the Masterclass, you’ll receive a comprehensive set of Course Notes, a
complimentary copy of John’s Flawless Airbrush Beauty DVD and Book and also
a Delegate Information Pack full of supplier information, contacts and resources.
After you finish your training, you will also receive exclusive post-training support
material and John will also be available to answer any questions you may have
or to clarify any of the techniques you’ve learned either by email or by phone
(see question below).
Will I get ongoing support and assistance from John after I finish the
training?
Yes.
Delegates on our 2 Day Professional Masterclass receive one month of
unlimited telephone and email post-training support.
Delegates on our 5 Day Advanced Professional Masterclass receive three
months of unlimited telephone and email post-training support.
